Wave Breaking

Waves are not easy, as I found out when painting this scene of a wave breaking on a sandy beach.  I may try this again once I've got better control of my colour palette.

Cloudscape

I was attempting to create a restful scene complimented with some summer clouds.

Order on Chaos

I've experimented with some abstract art - this forming some geometric order on a backdrop of chaos.

A cliff scene.

I had a go at another landscape today.  I'm not entirely happy with this cliff scene, the colours of the sky and sea aren't quite right, however it was more useful practice with sky and sea and rocks.

 

Misty Blue Mountains

In this painting with acrylics I wanted to see how well I could blend the shades to create some form of perspective and add some grey mist to the scene.  The photo doesn't do the original much justice.  I'm quite happy with rocks in the foreground and the mist.
